Where are complaints
coming from?
The percentage of complaints received from most
States and Territories remained consistent with
previous years, with the only slight change being
that complaints from South Australia dropped by
just more than two per cent from 8.95 per cent in
2015 to 6.61 per cent in 2016.
Tasmania (2.06 per cent) and the ACT
(2.83 per cent) remain close in percentage of
complaints with these two regions continuing the
trend toward lower level of complaints as with
the Northern Territory (0.43 per cent) which had
a lower percentage that the unspecified source of
complaint (0.61 per cent).
As with previous years, the most populous state,
New South Wales, topped the percentage of
complaints received (30.60 per cent), followed by
Victoria with 26.46 per cent. Complaints received
from the other States included, Queensland
(19.62 per cent), and Western Australia
(10.77 per cent) – similar to previous years.
