Hunting these predators in the summertime, and even in early spring, is best, because they will be moving quite a bit for mating and breeding seasons. Coyotes are very smart, and highly aware of their surroundings, so even if they’re looking for a mate, don’t think that they will be so easily distracted. Rifles are usually the weapon of choice because of their easy modifications and scope add-ons, but check with your area to make sure there aren’t any restrictions before you begin your hunt. Coyotes have some of the best hearing and eyesight, and as predators, they will naturally hide and stalk, rather than just roaming around in the open. The best way to take a coyote is to find a secluded area at the edge of a clearing or in the bushes, even up in the trees works. From there, you’ll have to wait it out.
