Downtown Marianna features a historic district bursting with
century old homes that have been carefully preserved. The
surrounding cities and towns are of true southern flair with
mom and pop stores specializing in antiques, bait and
tackle, fresh produce from local farms, boutiques brimming
with handmade gifts, and some of the best homestyle cook-
ing in the south.
The Historic 90 Corridor is the prime destination for scenic
drives any time of the year. Miles of rolling farmlands trans-
form into quaint towns, complete with antebellum homes

and canopy roadways where wildflowers bloom year-round.
Roadside farmers markets, produce stands, and u-pick farms
dot the main highways and many of the side roads.
Visitors and locals indulge in the endless fishing opportu-
nities in the creeks, rivers, lakes, and ponds that help make
up the region. Kayaks and canoes can be rented from Lily-
pad Adventures, Bear Paw, and Chipola River Adventures
to access the paddling trails on Chipola River and Merritt’s
Mill Pond. These two bodies of water offer excellent swim-
ming, snorkeling, and diving in crystal clear springs.
