with nature, Atwood Lake offers a great experience with its
low-horsepower boating. Take out
the sailboat and let the wind guide
your adventure or sit back and
relax on a pontoon boat. Fishermen enjoy tossing a line to catch
a variety of fish and two public
launch ramps provide easy access onto the water. A swimming
beach with water toys to entertain
the kids and hiking trails are also
available to experience nature
first hand.
Breakfast. Those wanting to spend the
night under the stars can enjoy RV or
primitive camping at Atwood Lake
Park, which hosts events throughout
the year.
Have no fears if you are “boating
challenged.” Fishing and pontoon
boats rentals are available at both
the East and West Atwood Lake
Marinas. Grab a bite to eat at
Lighthouse Bistro and The Dock
restaurants overlooking the water at the marinas. The Atwood
Deli has what you need to pack a
lunch. Be soothed by the water as
you sit on the balcony during your
stay at Whispering Pines Bed and
Feeling adventurous? Try your hand
at clay target shooting at Upland
Valley Sporting Clays or zip lining at
Wood’s Tall Timber Resort.
There is no better way to end the day
than to watch the sunset reflected
on the water as you sip wine at Al-Bi
Winery or enjoy local entertainment
at nearby School House Winery or
Casella Winery. You can also take the
