Kachemak Bay anglers target five Pacific Salmon species in
the area before heading to their natal streams for spawning.
First to arrive are king salmon (Chinook), then pink salmon
(Humpy), then red salmon (Sockeye) and dog salmon (Chums),
and ending with silver salmon (Coho). There is hardly a break
between the runs.
