The Kennebec River Brewery opened at the main lodge in 1996, after
several staff members began playing around with the thought of creating
their own microbrews. The relaxed atmosphere of the brewery makes
for a great ending to your daily activities, as they pour you a cold Big
Mama Blueberry Ale, or a Bear Naked Black Lager. These originals are
just a few of what the brewery offers, with Bear Naked being a German
“dunkel” that is smooth, creamy, and chocolatey. The Big Mama is self-
explanatory; a blonde ale with natural blueberry flavoring and a fruity
aroma. If you’re in the mood for a surprise, try the Brewer’s Choice, which
is “whatever Mike feels like brewing” that day.
Whether you feel like heading out for a day of elk or deer hunting in the
southwest, or spending your vacation time whitewater rafting and camp-
