be on the safe side, which is recommended. That’s
it. Find a snow-covered peak and start paddling.
Choose wisely when it comes to the peaks, as you
don’t want anything too steep or too dense with foliage. Remember, think like a kid! Pick a modest hill
and just have fun! Snow kayaking is typically done
in the backcountry, and has increased in popularity
a great deal over the last few years. Not sure how
to go about it? There are plenty of video examples
and instructions out there, but we personally recommend talking to an expert snow sport enthusiast
beforehand. It’s just common sense, and well worth
the trip if you go with someone who knows what
they’re doing!
Whether you are
looking for something extreme
or a more pleasant fall or winter activity, all it
takes is a little research. Get out there and find
out what people are into this season! You might
just find something you have never considered
seriously before, or perhaps never even heard
of. Any outdoor enthusiast is likely to try every
activity once, because you never know until you
try, right? Get outdoors this winter, don’t let the
snow intimidate you, and you will
bring back memories to
last a lifetime.
