You would think a man running the men’s ministry for his church and working with a ministry for college age men would have epic examples of Fathering and being fathered. Quite the opposite is true of Lee Maize. The second of three boys, all with different fathers, Lee grew up in the government welfare system of Illinois, without a dad and with the abuse that can accompany fatherless children.
Lee will tell you the best thing that ever happened to him was when he was kicked out of his mother’s house at the age of 16 because of his faith. Since he had no place to go Lee was taken in by his pastor and family and encouraged to go to college. After putting himself through college, Lee started working full time for Christian Ministries.
