“ I wanted to create a challenging work out but I also wanted a room and experience that felt inclusive .”

After years of working as a professional dancer , Mahri created Body Conceptions , her dance / fitness method , through a combination of music , dance and improvisation brought into a fitness class setting .
Her goal was to create a method that she , herself , could practice everyday . Wanting to become stronger and more balanced , she formed the method in the best way possible – organically .
As a psychology major and science geek , she ’ s exceedingly interested in the experience of her clients , making sure they are present with themselves , while safe in their bodies . The method is meant to be challenging but first and foremost , feel natural and good to the body , mind and spirit .
Whether privately or in a group setting , Mahri and her Body Conceptions instructors create experiences where their clients feel valued from the start . That way , we ’ re far more open to having our own experience than worrying about others around us .
Tone , energy and playlists become an integral part of the experience , so we can move beyond the movement into the flow space .
