Maryport Juniors Pulled it out of the bag !
Maryport Junior cadets pulled their hearts out at the district combined regatta last weekend winning all of their races against other unit gaining praise from staff from all other units across the district for how well they performed managing to stay in time and make our unit proud !
Well done JSC Matthew Lamb , JSC Anna McCauley , JSC Olivia Southward and JSC Samara Telford .
Area Combined Regatta All cadets who took place in District Combined Regatta in the various boat handling teams and those who were kayaking will be competing in the Area Combined Regatta to help bring back some trophies to Cumbria District . Well done to all cadets who took place and won or came close to winning .
‘ Row The World In 80 Hours ’
All cadets worked extremely hard at the end of last month doing none stop rowing around Maryport Marina and the Basin to raise money to help towards funding a new flag ship for the Sea Cadet Corps which is in the process of being built to replace the old flag ship TS Royalist which is being decommissioned towards the end of 2013 . Maryport unit raised a total sum of £ 00.00 towards this in total so we would like to say a very big thank you to all cadets that took part and also their families for helping .
