1. READ MORE OFTEN. On cold winter days, few things are as satisfying as curling up in your favorite chair with a good book and a cup of tea or coffee. Avid readers know that they can explore unfamil- iar worlds or learn new skills without leaving the comfort of their home. “If you want to cook a tur- key and you’ve never cooked a turkey, or if you’re going to have the family holiday meal at your house this year, get some ideas by readin g about it,” said Ada Public Library direc- tor Jolene Poore. “If you’ve thought about going fly fishing or something like that, learn about it.” But in today’s hectic world, it’s difficult to find the time to sit down with a book, news- paper or magazine.
