Our Recreation Department offers a wide variety of individual and team sports , as well as instructional classes for children , youth and adults . Programs offered provide the opportunity for individuals to participate in fitness activities and help to promote physical , mental , emotional and social development in a competitive setting . Good sportsmanship is always emphasized !

All-Star Soccer
Equipping young children with basic soccer skills Instructor : Recreation Staff Ages : 3 – 5
Learning a new sport can help your child develop social and motor skills . In this class , your child will learn fundamental soccer skills , including dribbling , passing and scoring . The lessons taught over the eight sessions will build and end with participants combining all their newly-learned skills in a game . This is a fun , recreational class focused on teaching your child sportsmanship , listening skills and teamwork .

CORE Tumble Bugs
Instructor : CORE Kids Academy Ages : 3 – 5
In this class , children will be introduced to the joy of body movement and awareness through gymnastics , fitness exercises and educational motor development games . Children will develop flexibility , strength , coordination and balance .
CORE Kids Academy ’ s mission is to instill and develop confidence by enhancing each child ’ s own capabilities through personal coaching in a group setting .

Gym Olympics
Instructor : Recreation Staff Ages : 3 – 5 8-week session
The gym is at the heart of this class , where children will play a variety of different sports and games each week to improve team skills , body control , balance and hand / eye coordination . Perfect for children who enjoy being active .
