FIELD HOCKEY SKATEBOARDING
Co-Ed Field Hockey Skateboarding Lessons
Practices at Ackerman SFC, Games at GBW Memorial Field Held at Newton Park
Grade: 1-12
Field hockey is the hottest new sport! We focus on building individual
and team field hockey skills. Instruction and practice drills emphasize
stick handling, ball control, positioning, offensive and defensive tactics,
rules, and conditioning. The clinics are run by extremely qualified
field hockey coaches with international, national, and local playing/
coaching experience. Beginners are welcome at all age groups. ch) Age: 5-13
This class is for beginner and intermediate skaters. Participants learn
how to start, stop, turn, jump, ramp riding, dropping in, and other
tricks. Skateboard and helmet are required; knee, elbow and wrist
guards are encouraged. Please bring something to drink to class.

EQUIPMENT: All participants are required to purchase a reversible
jersey ($20 one time only) for game play. Each player is required to
bring and wear their own shin guards and mouth guard. Loaner sticks
are available but purchase of field hockey stick is recommended.
Please ask your instructor for tips on purchasing a stick before you
invest in one as they vary by size and weight.
PRACTICES: Thursdays from April 4-May 16 at Ackerman SFC
GAMES: Sundays from April 7 to May 19 at GBW Memorial Field

Youth Fencing Lessons
Held at Main Street Recreation Center
Age: 8-13
Learn the beginning skills and techniques of this unique sport without
fighting. Fencing is an excellent sport for children and adults. It
combines coordination of relaxed and fast moves, and critical thinking
between attack and defensive strategies. Equipment is provided. Min/
