CHEERLEADING
AF
Golden Eagles Football Cheerleading
Grade: 2 (as of 8/31/18)
This program is for beginners and teaches participants the
fundamentals of football cheerleading and prepares them for the
Golden Eagles Football Cheerleading program. Participants learn
sideline cheers and fundamentals such as traditional cheer movements,
basic jumps, warm ups and cheer etiquette. Participants will cheer
for different Glen Ellyn flag football teams. This program does not
compete in cheer competitions but will perform at a cheer showcase
for friends and family. Grade: 3-8 (as of 8/31/18)
This two-fold program for girls and boys provides sideline cheering
and halftime routines at the Golden Eagles Tackle Football games as
well as participation in cheer competitions in the Chicagoland area.
We teach technical cheer fundamentals and sideline cheers, along
with short dance and cheer routines. Cheerleaders learn technical
skills including stunting, tumbling, and a variety of jumps. Each squad
cheers weekly and competes in Illinois Recreational Cheer Association
(IRCA) sanctioned competitions. While no prior experience is necessary,
it is helpful to have dance or gymnastics skills at the older age levels.
However, nothing can replace a good attitude, a sparkling smile and a
commitment to your teammates.
