Turkish Students Experiences

Before we got to the Barcelona airport, I wasn’t so excited but when we got there, i felt so excited. Now I was in Barcelona and I had a oppurtuniy to have one of my biggest dream when I am only sixteen. I shared this sentences with a guy who was working in a shop near our hotel in Barcelona. First place we visited was the church of La Sagrada Familia. It was so impressive. Every street in Barcelona has a beauty for me. There were special buildings, churches that reflect history and culture wherever I looked. I also think it deserves “completely livable city” term.

After two days we were arrived our real task place Fene. We arrived late midnight so I felt like I was in abandoned place until I saw the people away from us. Because there was no one except us. My host brother and his family were waiting for me. Firstly, I was embarrassed because I was going to spend a week with people who I saw for the first time. But it didn’t take much time to get used to. Their culture didn’t surprise me too much because they were really look like Turkish people and they were very friendly and warm. After school, we were hanging out all day and these days were really fun for me.

I felt like I was in a dream. Suddenly, your host friend becomes your best friend. You got support and help for everything. You did the same for him and here began a very strong relationship between you and him. Then it became very difficult to leave you loved one.

It is very nice this project changes the way I see people and the life. I mean I began to open myself for a different view. I notice that I can achieve everything on my own. I would give my everything to live these ten days again with my loved friends. Who knows? Maybe one day I will meet my host brother again!
