CLICK TO VIEW MORE ABOUT THE SENIOR BOX PROGRAM ACHE- SETC FIGHTS HUNGER A team of ACHE- SETC Chapter Members volunteered at the Houston Food Bank by participating in the Food Bank?s Senior Box Program. The Senior Box Program is a federal program designed to improve the health and nutrition of seniors in our community that live on a fixed income. Volunteers assembled and filled boxes of food that were distributed to the seniors in the Program. Each senior received a box of food with a retail value of $50. At the completion of their shift, the volunteers packaged 1,800 boxes which represents a total of 45,000 meals. The Chapter applauds each of the volunteers for donating their valuable time and strengths to change the lives of countless hungry seniors in our region. A special thank you to Tyara Barge for coordinating the event! ANNOUNCEMENT TO HA GRADUATE STUDENTS 2017 ACHE CONGRESS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS Once again the ACHE- SETC Board members are pleased to inform health administration (HA) graduate students that several scholarships will be awarded to student associates of ACHE national who meet all the qualifications outlined in the application process. By mid- October detailed information about the annual ACHE Congress Scholarship will be distributed to HA Program Directors of universities throughout southeast Texas. This scholarship program provides each scholarship recipient with a check for $1,500 to cover their expenses while attending the Congress in Chicago during March 27- 30, 2017.
