ACHE- SETC ACADEMIC
SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
Each year, ACHE- SETC awards $5,000 scholarships to
well- deserving graduate students who have excelled
and show a genuine commitment to pursuing a career
in healthcare administration. This year there were 16
applications submitted and six were selected for final
evaluation
and
personal
interviews
by a
Board- appointed committee. Four of those six were
selected for recommendation to the full board for
approval. On August 4, 2016, during the 3rd Quarter
Educational Session, each of the following scholarship
winners was presented a check by Jack Buckley,
FACHE, President, ACHE- SETC.
LEANNE MLADENKA - Graduate Student, Texas
A&M School of Public Health. Leanne was presented
a check for $5,000 in honor of Dr. Jeptha W. Dalston,
PhD, FACHE
LEVI HERMAN ? Graduate Student, Rice University.
Levi was presented a check for $5,000 in honor of
David J. Fine, FACHE.
It is the Chapter's privilege to be a part of the
education of these outstanding young adults and we
wish them well in their scholastic and future
professional endeavors.
TRAVIS WALTERS ? Graduate Student, Texas A&M
School of Public Health. Travis was presented a check
for $5,000 in honor of Dan Wilford, LFACHE, and
former President/ CEO of Memorial Hermann
Healthcare System from 1984 to 2002.
KATHLEEN (KATIE) RYAN ? Graduate Student,
Texas Women?s University. Katie was presented a
check for $5,000 in honor of Donald (Don) B. Wagner,
LFACHE.
