Recent events have highlighted the
importance of trackway innovations
Budgeting for trackway made the news recently,
with Samphire Festival’s Flora Blathwayt and Josh
Beauchamp saying they were ‘heartbroken’ that
they could no longer run the sell-out festival, citing
mounting costs including trackway.
Elsewhere, Y Not Festival was cancelled
due to bad weather, despite investing heavily in
infrastructure including trackway and traffi c
management.
Meanwhile, innovations and new off erings from
trackway companies are springing up.
Event case study: WowGrass at Palace
Pearls of Wisdom at Banqueting House
WowGrass seized the opportunity to launch
its latest product at Palace Pearls of Wisdom at
Banqueting House, and reported positive feedback
from some of the industries fi nest.
Its freestanding REAL Grass photo wall, which is
now available to hire proved popular. Th e Wow Wall
will, for a limited time be off ered free of charge with
any fl oor covering booking of 150sqm or over.
Th e wall was ornately decorated with a regal
display of fl owers arching across the top combined
with golden pears. Th e wall was also adorned with
vintage suitcases, books and props to really bring
the magic to life. Guests fl ocked on the day to strike
a pose or a selfi e in front of the wall dressed in our
Soil-free REAL grass.
Th e Wall itself is 3x2.4m which WowGrass says
is the optimum size for events. It is freestanding and
can go against a wall or if away from the wall will be
installed with a curtain to hide the back.
Hot new product: Eco Traction-Trac
T120 & Eco Traction-Mat T80
Eco Traction-Trac measures 1.40x2.90x20mm
and has an aggressive anti-slip top surface for
vehicles on one side and a more user-friendly grip
pattern on the other side for pedestrians.
Made from virgin high quality HDPE plastic,
which is recyclable and designed to facilitate safe
passage for both foot and vehicular traffi c.
Each ECO Traction-Trac weighs 60 kg and has
handles for man- handling by 2 men and can be
joined together via a simple metal joining system.
Ideally suited for heavy vehicles as an alternative
to aluminium roadways, Eco Traction-Mat is a
handy version of the above with the same grip
pattern on each side, same handles and joining
system but measure 1.20x2.40x14mm and weigh
34kg.
Both Eco Traction Tracs and Eco Traction mats
are available for hire nationwide for DIY or a full
delivery and installation service
Tracking the news: EFS Europe at
LAMMA
LAMMA, the UK’s largest farm
machinery and agricultural services
show, returned to the East of England
Showground in January 2018. It attracted
more than 40,000 visitors and 900
exhibitors.
EFS Europe has been a supplier to the
shows’ exhibitors for the last four years,
providing its specialist fl ooring services for
both indoor and outdoor exhibitions and

demonstration stands.
EFS Europe’s Temp-a-Path and Hex-Road
products are easy to install solutions for pedestrian
and vehicular use. Both products can be installed in
detailed confi gurations, allowing exhibitors to create
safe and unhindered access for visitors wishing to
view their display equipment or services.
In addition, EFS’s ranges of exhibition carpet
and artifi cial grass were utlised - suited for adding
detailed fi nishing touches to the stands and displays.

manager said: “LAMMA is moving to the NEC
next year, so this is the last year we will be supplying
the show. It has been a privilege to work with the
show organisers and the 40 plus businesses we have
helped with their stands. It’s a real shame that the
high winds stopped play this year and the show
had to be cancelled, especially given this is the
last time LAMMA will be at the East of England
Showground.”

Temp-A-Path
Temp-A-Path, designed, manufactured
and installed by EFS Europe, is a lightweight,
interlocking modular fl ooring solution. It
creates instant temporary fl ooring for marquees,
warehouses, pedestrian walkways and emergency

A heavy duty roadway ideal for instant access and

site prior to set up as well as throughout the event.
Hex Road is a versatile non-metal interlocking
system which is suitable for all types of ground and
usage – it will protect the ground from long-term
damage. Hex Road has a static loading of up to
100 tonnes and a mobile loading of 44 tonnes (the
legal European limit), making it ideal, versatile and
