Mobility In EY, our biggest talent mobility challenge is to accelerate our globalisation efforts. Vision 2020 is our plan to make EY the leading global professional services organisation by 2020. It includes our purpose, ambition, strategy and positioning. Vision 2020 has committed us to a step change in mobility. We need to extend our focus beyond the 2,600 people who go on a mobility assignment each year and consider how every one of our 167,000 people have a role to play in extending our globalisation advantage. To do so, we are focusing on: • Global Mindset for All: we build capability through diverse experiences, cross border learning and coaching; we understand our business from a global perspective, we build relationships and leverage different perspectives to team effectively and we drive better solutions for our client; • Cross Border experience for many: we build the best global teams to meet the needs of our clients and provide our people with the opportunities and support to transfer to new locations; and • Strategic Mobility for Top Talent: we align investments with key business priorities, we deliberate investment to accelerate the development of our future leaders, and last but not least, we move our people to support short / medium term client demand. As a first step towards our globalisation process, we started reviewing our Mobility Policy: our objective is to move away from our current linear and rigid approach to a “structured flexibility”, i.e., the ability to choose compensation structures and benefits via modules with an increasing level of support. We need to extend our focus beyond the 2,600 people who go on a mobility assignment each year and consider how every one of our 167,000 people have a role to play in extending our globalisation advantage.
