Editor’s Letter W elcome to the fourth issue of Accelerate. Let this Issue inspire you because our primary message is this : You already know what to do. I wrote about this earlier this month for Women of HR because there’s a lot of negativity, pressure and a rising number of challenges we face all the time, in the various roles we hold, in our jobs and in our lives. It’s easy when there’s so much going wrong, when things appear unsettled and when the way seems long and fraught, for us to lose sight of our own capabilities, our own vision of things and our solid stash of experiences that guide us. So, understand that you already know what to do. Trust in yourself. With that in mind, we are thrilled to feature :• Ken Kring who shares how you can get the best out of your most important asset; • Richard Leech who outlines the importance of raising self awareness through coaching; • Tom Schafer who discusses how to recognise and leverage resistance for organisation change success; • Cindy Saunders who finishes up her third article in the series about employee engagement; • five top L&D professionals who share their biggest pain points; and much more. Accelerate is for anyone leading, coaching, engaging and growing others. Our focus is on all things related to the development, growth and inspiration of people within teams and organisations. Accelerate aims to create a balance between professional and personal development and to have broad appeal whether you work in business, government or academia, regardless of practice or industry. We hope that Accelerate will be an essential part of your professional life.
