The Academy of the New Church Secondary Schools and Bryn Athyn College will be offering qualified ANCSS students an opportunity to enroll in two college courses during their senior year at ANCSS. These two courses, Psychology 101 and Philosophy 102, are foundational offerings that fulfill certain general education requirements at most, if not all, American colleges and universi- ties. We are very fortunate to have Kiri K. Rogers, Assistant Professor of Psychology and Marcy E. Latta, Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Writ- ing, who will be teaching these two courses start- ing with the 2017/2018 school year. We have a very strong, popular and well-rounded performing arts program that continues to grow each year. This includes our Performing Arts Port- folio class, Dance Team, Choral Ensemble, In- strumental Ensemble, Stagecraft, and Costuming class. We hold a performing arts camp each sum- mer for 6th, 7th and 8th graders, multiple concerts during the year, a play in winter and a musical in the spring. Some students learn how to set light- ing plots and run lights during our shows, or how to operate our soundboard during shows. Others work on the stage crew, operate our ticket sales, greet and usher. Cast and Crew of our Spring Musical - Mary Poppins Athletics Schools League championship appearance in ANC soccer history.
