GENERAL NEWS News Briefs Land secured to expand parking space for Kabwata It has been a long process towards securing the piece of land between our plot and Burma Road which allows the shopping centre to have additional parking and access from Burma Road. The Environmental Project Brief has been submitted and the council has given the thumbs up to start as soon as the new title deed is received. On the tenanting front, Choppies is the anchor and Barclays, Debonairs, Steers and some other tenants have shown interest. If all goes according to plan we should break ground in July 2017 for an opening in the second quarter of 2018. Julien Matoka joined Time Projects Zambia in April 2017 after he attained his honours degree in Property Studies at the University of Science and Technology in Namibia. Julien will be assisting with property management as well as project management. He is eager to learn new skills and we welcome him on board. In his free time he likes reading, soccer, interacting with people, travelling and he has also mastered four languages: English, Nyanja, Bemba and Afrikaans. With six years work experience in accounting and property management in Australia and Zambia under his belt, Musonda joined Time Projects Zambia this year and is looking forward to new challenges. When not hard at work, Musonda spends his leisure time swimming, keeping abreast of current affairs, reading, travelling and looking for adventure.
