Gabz FM moves into its new home
By the time that you get to read this article, Gabz FM will
have been broadcasting from their new premises for a
few weeks. Gabz FM moved into their new offices in the
last week of January and started pumping out the music
from a temporary studio as their new hi-tech state of the
art studio was only completed in the middle of February.
The owners of the building, Media Partners entered into
a joint venture agreement with Time Projects to develop
the site and they retained the building in which GabzFM
will be housed. The 1st floor has been let and the lower
floor is still available to let.
The adjoining building has been sold under sectional title
and as there is a staggered completion date, will only be
occupied by its owners / tenants during April (we will
update you on this one later).
The brief that we received from Media Properties was to
develop a funky, functional and eye-catching building but
doing so without wasted space and money. As you drive
past the building and see the funky purple highlights on
the building and the modern sun screening to the large
curtain walling and then go inside and see the minimal
amount of wasted space, it’s clear that we achieved what
we set out to do.
As with all other “Time” buildings emphasis has been
placed on the provision of parking and we have provided
in excess of 5 bays per 100m² of office space. We have
included most of our standard “green building” features,
which include rainwater and air conditioning condensate
harvesting, low volume flush toilets, on/off light sensors,
the use of LED lights and correct sun screening to the east
and west elevations.
None of our projects would be possible without the
