VIII. PREVENTING BULLYING A positive environment reduces incidence of bullying. To this end, the School shall endeavor to train its students to become allies not mere bystanders by explaining to the students the difference between bystanders and allies and letting them know that the School shall value their efforts to stop any incident of bullying and support them whenever they intervene in bullying. Likewise, the School shall inculcate into its students the importance of: recognizing, appreciating, and valuing differences; listening to what others have to say; asking how others feel; talking about feelings especially on bullying. The School takes note of the following signs that may indicate that a child is being bullied or is at risk of being bullied: 1. Sudden change in school attendance; 2. Sudden change in school performance; 3. Sudden loss of interest in favorite activities; 4. No friends; 5. Loss of appetite or eating disorder; 6. Sudden change in mood or behavior; 7. Unexplained physical injuries; 8. Loss of self-esteem and self-confidence; 9. Starting to bully others.
