2017 • Readers’ Choice Special supplement to the Anoka County Shopper • June 7, 2017 inutes from the bustling downtown of Anoka, a quaint yellow house rests on the side of a busy road. The name Creative Shears is etched in a fancy font, advertising the independently owned salon located within. As you enter the salon, you are greeted by the warm, inviting atmosphere of a professional salon, quite often claimed as “Anoka’s Best Kept Secret”, offering artisan – made in Minnesota cards, jew- elry, soaps, magnets and more. Plus, a wide variety of professional products, which include a complete line of organic hair care. The lower level features a professional Wig salon, where privacy and individual attention is a priority, and a pedicure room, also enhances the lower level. Another hidden secret is our lovely garden be- hind the salon for our clients to enjoy while they’re waiting. Our clients are what makes Creative Shears who we are. THANK YOU FOR VOTING TAMI BEST HAIR STYLIST A wide variety of ser- vices are offered at the salon, including hair- cuts, organic color, cus- tom wigs, manicures, and pedicures and waxing. More informally, many of the stylists add the words friend, confidant, and counselor to their job titles. Though not widely advertised, there is a faith based aspect to the salon. The hairdressers seem to deeply care about the wellbeing of their clients. The clients also seem to care about the wellbeing of their stylist. Among the wide array of products, the salon offers cards called “Words of Hope and Healing Cards” Tami is very enthusiastic about this faith based ap- proached to her salon. Although she says, “you are not expected to be a Christian to go to the salon or work there” she says, “I want our clients to know that we will pray for them”. In this sense, clients have the comfort knowing that they are not going to the salon to only get a haircut, but also to receive support in the time of need. Hair Styles are always changing, and the stylists at Creative Sheers keep up with these changes by par- ticipating in advanced training to learn the ongo- ing changes and trends in styles and hair care. With the emphasis on continued development, the salon demonstrates the importance of offering high qual- ity and style, and they value pleasing their clients. We have many clients that have been with us for more than our 35 years in business. A wonderful variety of women and men, people of all ages. 721 East River Road Anoka, MN 55303 763-427-9881 Our advertising comes mostly from our clients referrals to the salon.
