annual report highlights Children Kindergarten Follow-up Survey • 76% of the children were ready for kindergarten; 24% required additional assistance. • 84% demonstrated average or above average skills compared to their peers. • 96% of the children would be placed in Grade one at the end of the kindergarten year. Parents Parent Survey on the satisfaction of the outcomes for the year. • 100% of family members were satisfied with their Head Start experiences and would recommend the program to other families. • 98% said being involved with Head Start benefitted their children. • 96% of the parents indicated their child showed greater interest in crafts, communicating and cognitive development. • 99% of the parents revealed they were doing more to help their child develop and learn and 93% had learned about new resources for the family. Staff Staff Survey • 95% of the staff expressed high levels of satisfaction with their job and 98% commented that their job was a good fit with their interest and skills. • 100% commented they had a good understanding of job expectations and 95% said they were recognized for their work. • 97% said they would recommend ABC Head Start to others as a great place to work. Volunteers Volunteer Survey • 93% of those surveyed enjoyed their experience at ABC Head /start very much and would recommend the program to other volunteers. • 64% indicated the orientation/interview was very effective. • 71% expressed they used their skills very effectively in the classroom.
