Day 1 : Cairns On arrival at Cairns Airport you will be transferred to your hotel ( flights anytime ). Hotel : Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort ( R ) or Hilton Hotel ( S ), Cairns , 3 nights .
Day 2 : Great Barrier Reef Board a high speed catamaran and cruise to the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef . Covering approximately 35 million hectares , it is the largest reef structure and marine park in the world and offers an experience like no other . View the spectacular coral and tropical fish from the underwater observatory and semisubmersible craft . You ’ ll have the opportunity to go snorkeling and experience this natural wonder up-close ( equipment provided ). Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch before returning to Cairns early evening . B L
Day 3 : Tjapukai – Skyrail – Kuranda
Visit the fascinating Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park , Australia ’ s largest indigenous cultural park which has been built in a spectacular rainforest setting . Discover this ancient culture through bush food lessons , didgeridoo demonstrations , movie theatres , fire making demonstrations and the famous Tjapukai Dance . A short distance from Tjapukai is the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway . Skyrail takes you over and
through the breathtaking World Heritage of the Barron Gorge National Park . There are two rainforest stations where you can enjoy a ranger guided boardwalk and observe this ancient rainforest from spectacular lookouts . On arrival in Kuranda there is free time to explore the ‘ village in the rainforest ’ and its many attractions , including the Heritage Markets . After exploring , board the Kuranda Scenic Railway for a historic journey traveling through some of the oldest rainforest in the world . Passing the spectacular Stoney Creek Falls your journey winds through man-made tunnels , across bridges and around curves to arrive at its final destination , Freshwater Station . B
Day 4 : Cairns Your short break concludes this morning after breakfast . You ’ ll be transferred to Cairns Airport for your onward flight ( flights anytime ). B
Day 1 : Cairns – Port Douglas On arrival at Cairns Airport you ’ ll be transferred to your resort in Port Douglas ( flights anytime ). The rest of the day is yours to explore or relax in this tropical paradise . Hotel : QT Port Douglas ( R & S ), 2 nights .
Day 2 : Cape Tribulation & Daintree
Cruise on the Daintree River then enjoy views to the Coral Sea from Alexandra lookout . Take a short walk along a delightful forest creek before a delicious tropical lunch . Walk on the beach at Cape Tribulation before visiting the Mossman Gorge Gateway Centre for an indigenous presentation by the Kuku Yalanji people . Your Driver Guide will take you for a walk in Mossman Gorge , sharing their knowledge of this enchanting region . B L
Day 3 : Great Barrier Reef – Cairns
An experience of a lifetime today – cruise to an underwater world that is a kaleidoscope of colour and brilliance on an Outer Great Barrier Reef cruise to Agincourt Reef . Dive , snorkel or just stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a Quicksilver semi-submersible craft . Watch the fish feeding from a unique underwater viewing platform and enjoy a delicious tropical buffet lunch before heading to Cairns for the next 3 nights . Day 4 : Kuranda Board the Kuranda Scenic Railway for an amazing journey , as you travel on one of the world ’ s most scenic rail routes , through hand-hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges , to the picturesque village of Kuranda . On arrival there ’ s free time to explore the ‘ village in the rainforest ’ and its many attractions , including the Heritage Markets full of colorful and interesting arts and crafts . Afterwards , board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and travel high above the Barron Gorge National Park through some of the oldest rainforest in the world , on your way back down to Cairns . B
Day 5 : Cairns ‘ Free Time ’ Today , relax and unwind or discover any of a number of Cairns ’ hidden gems . Visit Cairns Wildlife Dome , the Cairns Zoo for an adventure or stroll through the Cairns Night Markets . It ’ s up to you ! B
