Here at AAT Kings we encourage the sustainable development of tourism in partnership with the Treadright Foundation – a not-forprofit organisation established by The Travel Corporation and its family of brands . The foundation has helped support more than 35 sustainable tourism projects worldwide . Specifically within Australia and New Zealand AAT Kings is proud to support a number of important projects with a focus on wildlife conservation .

Tassie Devils

AAT Kings has joined forces with The Save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal to protect them from the fatal Devil Facial Tumour Disease ( DFTD ) epidemic . Our donation supports the husbandry ( management , care and feeding ) of five Devils in critical vaccine research undertaken by the University of Tasmania , Menzies Institute for Medical Research .

Kiwi birds

AAT Kings supports the conservation of New Zealand ’ s iconic native bird , the endangered kiwi . We contribute to the Rainbow Springs Kiwi Breeding Program in Rotorua to hatch and raise chicks , perform health checks , daily monitoring , and research into kiwi incubation and rearing . We help Rainbow Springs raise awareness of the protection of these precious birds and play a vital role in their survival .

Koalas

We ’ ve teamed up with Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors to support the Koala Rehabilitation Project at their Wildlife Hospital – the country ’ s busiest wildlife facility . Along with koala rehabilitation , we support the building of ecofriendly habitats to protect the sick and orphaned . We even have an AAT Kings Mascot , ‘ Koala Sam ’.

Little Penguins

AAT Kings supported the world ’ s leading research facility for Little Penguins on Phillip Island in Victoria , including the purchase of a weighbridge to monitor penguin health and habits . Interpretive signs were also erected to educate visitors about the environment of this important penguin colony .

Our ecofriendly coaches

Taking a coach is an environmentally sustainable means of transportation . Coaches use significantly less fuel per person than an average sized car or hybrid . One coach can displace up to 56 cars from the road .
