Day 2 : Salamanca Market This morning is all yours , free to enjoy the sights , sounds , flavors , color and action of Salamanca Market . Explore the market stalls , wander through
the historic sandstone warehouses discovering innovative Tasmanian arts and crafts , and delight in the taste and aroma of freshly baked goods and local produce , meeting the friendly people who make or grow what they sell . Take a moment to sit back and relax at one of Salamanca ’ s cafés and watch the world pass you by with a refreshing ale or locally produced cider . This afternoon you ’ ll have a unique opportunity to delve in to Tasmania ’ s unique history from its convict past to modern day when you join a walking tour with a focus on Hobart ’ s early colonial days and the fascinating role alcohol consumption played . You ’ ll taste wines from several Tasmanian wine regions at the Gasworks Cellar Door , sample some fine Tasmanian Whisky and finish off with a cooling cider from a local craft cider house . B
Day 3 : Bruny Island Discover the best of Bruny Island to experience the spectacular landscapes , gourmet produce and inspiring local people . After a short ferry ride to the secluded island , your first stop will be the Bruny Island Cheese Company where you ’ ll taste a selection of gourmet cheeses in a beautiful bush setting , along with fresh sourdough bread , baked onsite in the baker ’ s outdoor wood fired
oven . Next it ’ s on to Get Shucked Oyster Bar to sample freshly shucked pacific oysters . Delicious ! If you thought that was enough eating for now , next up enjoy an al fresco morning tea . Shene ’ s custodian , Anne Kernke will give you exclusive access to the country estate ’ s iconic colonial buildings including the main homestead where Anne lives with her family , the stables , barn , dairy and outbuildings .
