Day 1 Welcome to Uluru
Feel the stirring of something bigger
than you as you arrive in Ayers Rock
Resort, your launch pad to Australia’s
fiery heart in the Uluru – Kata Tjuta
National Park.
This afternoon,
join your Journey Director and fellow
travelers to explore the foundations of
life and society of the local Aboriginal
people, the Anangu, and their ancestors
before traveling to Kata Tjuta for a
walk through towering Walpa Gorge.
As the day fades, enjoy sparkling
wine at a Welcome Reception, as you
watch the outback sun set over the
monumental sandstone monolith

Day 2 Uluru – Kings Canyon
Witness a mesmerising arrival of
another day overlooking Kata Tjuta and
Uluru. Then, skirting the base of Uluru,
hear ancient tales, see fabulous rock art
Angkerle
and visit the Mutitjulu Waterhole. Your
next stop is Curtin Springs Station, home
to the Severin family since 1956 when
Peter Severin arrived with his young wife
Dawn, their toddler son Ashley and 1,500
head of cattle! Take part in a paper-
making workshop at Curtin Springs
Paper then kick back in true Aussie-
style at a BBQ lunch. Meet one of the
locals who’ll tell you about the Severin’s
and the logistics of running a million
acre cattle property. Before arriving in
Kings Canyon view Atila (Mt. Conner),
often mistaken for Uluru, and call in at
Kings Creek Station. This evening,
you’re treated to the unique dining
experience, Under a Desert Moon, set
in the wilderness under a canopy of the
southern night sky (weather permitting).
