KAUSHIK BHANUSHALI, (MBA Class of 2007) brings his pride and passion to his role as President of the University of Newcastle Singapore Alumni Chapter. Learn more about Kaushik in the Q&A below.

What is your favourite memory of your University?

I studied in the Singapore Campus of the University of Newcastle and can recount many beautiful memories of my time there. The best two being when, randomly, our Dean Professor Tim Roberts gave me his UoN neck tie and said to me, "This one is for you because you deserve it." It is one of my most prized possessions. Second, being that the university helped me to get my internship and even drove me to the location of the interview. These and many more memories make me connect with the UoN deeply.

What was your favourite campus hangout?

I spent a good amount of time in the Library, as one can be always sure the topic of discussion will be mostly studying, and we will not wander off to unrelated topics and waste time or have fun, whichever way you look at it.

What do you hope to accomplish as 2017 President?

I want to leverage this opportunity to bring all the UoN alumni under one umbrella. There is such a huge pool of alumni. Imagine the network we can create and imagine what we can achieve if we leverage on this network!

How can the AAS and your Chapter work together to deliver more value to your members?

I have served for 2 years on AAS committee as Communications Chair earlier and I know the benefits of joining forces. AAS and UoN have already had a joint event in 2016. I am looking forward to more collaborations!
