LIAW Wee Tong

After returning to Singapore in 2001, with a desire to continue his connection with fellow Singaporeans who have studied in Australia and staying in touch with his alma mater, Wee Tong has been active and always looks forward to participating in the activities of University of Queensland (UQ) alumni in Singapore. Along the way he met and made friends who are members of AAS, as well as other Australian university alumni chapters in Singapore. He joined the management committee of UQ alumni chapter in Singapore in 2006 and held key offices, including the position of Treasurer and Secretary between 2007 and 2010.

Professionally, he has gained more than 15 years of experience in providing management consultancy, financial reporting and auditing services (including 8 years in “BIG 4” audit firms). He co-founded Red Element Health International Pte Ltd (Red Element) in 2010. Red Element’s business activities are guided by the social impact on the wider community.

If his candidacy is successful Wee Tong commits to strengthening the current operating model, sponsorship programmes, and membership development capabilities.

SOULODRE, LEESA

Managing Partner of RL Expert Group and the Innovation Director of Inspirit IoT, Leesa Soulodre is an Expert Advisor on ICT Open Disruption Innovation at the European Commission Executive Research Agency and holds 14 years Digital Director and Board Advisory experience in the not for profit, the academic and private sectors. She serves as Board Adviser to technology startups: PR Software firm, Prezly (BE); Sports Analytics firm, Autoscout Inc., (IL, USA), Fashion Analytics Company, FashionMatch (Korea) and is a Director of Inspirit IoT.

Leesa holds a Global Executive MBA from TRIUM: New York Stern University, HEC School of Management and the London School of Economics and Political Science; a Masters in Management (Marketing) from the University of Southern Queensland and various Certificates from AGSM, Harvard University, Wharton and Stanford.

Leesa was fortunate to be given the opportunity to serve on the AAS MC since August 2016, leading its strategic planning, digital transformation and corporate governance initiatives and the CISA strategic alliance. Internationally, Leesa is the Chair of the TRIUM Women's Group (TWG) – NYU, HEC, LSE. On IWD2017, Leesa was recognised by the Executive Director of TRIUM for the value TWG have delivered to TRIUM Members through professional development, career resources, Alumni recruitment, strategic alliances and digital community services. She has served as Vice Chairman and Marketing and Communications of the University of Southern Queensland Alumni Society for 4 years. She was also awarded a High Commendation Alumnus of the year Award in 2016 for her services to the USQ Asia Alumni Community.

Leesa commits to Members that she will deliver the digital transformation agenda to ensure that the AAS can scale its services to be inclusive of all Australian Alumni in Singapore. This includes

1) the launch of the AAS Digital Village and support to Members, Universities and Partners,

2) empowering Members to connect, engage and celebrate with their fellow Australian Alumni and 3) contributing to building an AAS community that shares the vision, drive and dedication to all stakeholders interests.
