NEWSLETTER | Issue 34 10 2017 Elections: Nominations open! Nominations for the North American (NA) Management Board and At-Large Technical Board are now available. Nominations will be open until January 27, 2017. North American (NA) Technical Board – At-Large The At-Large Technical Board is elected for a one-year term. There are four (4) seats open for the At-Large Technical Board members. NA At-Large Technical Board members must be SIF Association Voting Participants or employed by or representing a SIF Association Voting Participant and duly authorized to represent that SIF Association Voting Participant. 2017 NA Election timeline North American (NA) Management Board For the 2017 SIF Association NA Election process, the following dates apply: The NA Management Board seat is elected for two year terms. This year there will be five (5) seats open for the Management Board. To be eligible to run for the NA Management Board, the individuals shall be at least eighteen (18) years old and be SIF Association Voting Participants or employed by or representing a SIF Association Voting Participant and duly authorized to represent that SIF Association Voting Participant, but need not be residents of the District of Columbia. A SIF Association Voting Participant Member institution (including associated subsidiaries of a SIF Association Voting Participant) may have at most one representative on the Board of Directors at one time. Dec 12, 2016: Nominations open Jan 27, 2017: Nominations close Feb 7, 2017: Elections Committee convenes to confirm ballot Feb 8, 2017: Ballot released Feb 27, 2017: Voting closes at 5:00 pm Feb 27, 2017: Elections Committee convenes to confirm results Feb 28, 2017: Elections results announced during the NA 2017 Annual Meeting Those NA Management Board members that are serving their second year of a two-year term and will be returning to the NA Management Board for 2017 include:  Jim Campbell, AEM Corp  Michelle Elia, CPSI Ltd  Laura Hansen, Metro Nashville Public Schools  Jennifer Schmidt, META Solutions  Steve Smith, Cambridge Public Schools  Peter Tamayo, Washington State OSPI  Jason Wrage, Ovrtr We will be using a virtual election tool and all nominations must be submitted electronically.
