You don't need to be a technological wizard to understand how websites work and figure out how to edit one. The only thing you need to have is incredible patience.

Websites are weird. Things go wrong. But we have Google, and Google is amazing. 9 times out of 10 you can just Google what you want to do or need to figure out and Google will have it. Case in point: I've never taken a CS class or coding class or anything. Google is clutch to figure things out.

Keep things user-friendly. Go to a website of a popular company or organization and see if it's easy to navigate. What parts make it great? What could be improved? Take these ideas and apply it to your website.

Always keep checking the most popular pages of your website. Spot something wrong there before someone else does!

Talk to your state chairs and sponsors, always. Continually ask for feedback. Is there something they specifically want? If they're happy, everyone can be happy.
