Soldier On
Soldier On works alongside those who serve and protect
Australia and their families helping them to secure their futures.
INITIATIVES
+ + ANZAC Round, Rd 5 – Soldier On families attended the
game and presented the game ball, participated in the
Guard of Honour and had a junior mascot experience. St
Kilda and GWS Football Clubs also created a joint video
in support of Soldier On’s work.
+ + Utilised St Kilda’s facilities to host Soldier On’s Vet
Connect program, which brings together male veterans;
breaking the social isolation that can occur for some
post-discharge.
+ + Hosted the Pollie Pedal Team on the first stop of their
journey to Canberra at RSEA Park, Moorabbin. Pollie
Pedal raises funds and awareness to support those who
have served our nation.
+ + Supported the Soldier On Gala Dinner held in Melbourne
for the first time in November.
Both my children come with me to the clinics and
barbecues that Soldier On and St Kilda have hosted.
My children get to be involved in the activities and
learn about my past. It’s been a really good thing for
the family.”
