TECH FOR TEENS Tech for Teens is an after school program that provides teens from Fayetteville Public Schools with hands-on access to STEM-related technology, tools and other resources. A grant from Best Buy funds the program, which trains teens on 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, robotics, basic coding, digital photography and other skills. MANUFACTURER APPRECIATION WEEK Each fall, the Chamber celebrates manufacturers and introduces high school students in Northwest Arkansas to careers in manufacturing. Local plants open their doors for up to 600 student visits and tours. TEEN LEADERSHIP High school juniors from Fayetteville and Washington County can apply for the Teen Leadership ‘X’Perience. Teens learn about community issues while developing decision making, planning and teamwork skills. JOB EXPO The Fayetteville Chamber hosts a Job Expo each year to match employers with people looking to start a career. High school students can practice their interview skills, learn more about local companies and explore career pathways available at local businesses.
