ROBOTICS COULD BE THE KEY
TO YOUR CAREER
Pace yourself for success
PACE INDUSTRIES is the largest custom die casting company in
North America and is proud to have some of the most talented
people in the business on its team. Pace serves customers in several
industries, including automotive and trucking, lawn and garden,
healthcare, and lighting and electrical.
Die casting is a manufacturing process that produces metal parts by
forcing molten metal under high pressure into a mold. Pace Industries’
services go beyond die casting and include engineering and design,
machining, assembly and finishing capabilities. As the company
grows, so does its need for skilled people.
“With huge advances in technology, jobs in manufacturing are
becoming more technical,” explains Ken Stuckey, the director of

talent acquisition and workforce development. “We need associates
who can work on programming robots and who understand
automation, hydraulics and pneumatics.”
Stuckey says Pace Industries and other manufacturers are fighting the
myth that careers in manufacturing and the skilled trades are dead
end jobs. “That couldn’t be further from the truth,” he says. “People
with technical skills are extremely valuable and can earn high wages
and move up quickly.”
Noah Wehn knows how quickly those skills can launch a career. He
started out as an intern when he was still in high school. The skills he
learned as part of his school’s robotics teams set him up for success.
