In 2001, in the days leading up to the anniversary
of the Genocide, a group of designers led by Ruben
Malayan, decided to hang 1000 posters about the
Genocide all over Amsterdam, including some with
text in the Turkish language. In order to carry out
this initiative, designers from various countries
submitted around 20 proposals for the posters.
The website armeniangenocideposters.org was
launched to select the best 5 through a process of
online voting.
