Established Kim Joo Guan in 1977, an earnest and prudent businessman, founder Mr. Ong Bon Seng would personally hand deliver his product on his motorcycle, investing much of his time building a loyal customer base. Business grew steadily in the 70s and 80s through word of mouth, and with consignment sales at coffee shops, he gained yet another avenue for sales. There were no gimmicks, no extensive marketing efforts, just good old quality paired with friendly service.
Offering traditional Bak Kwa made from quality ingredients and 100% Australian grain-fed pork. With the times came newer varieties such as Chilli Bak Kwa, Gold Coin Bak Kwa, and Premium Pork Belly. Like other Bak Kwa outlets, to provide more varieties, they also launched their own line of Original, Chilli, and even Sesame & Seaweed Pork Floss.
Motivated and driven by customer satisfaction, their staunch stance on delivering premium quality pork, maintaining by the most stringent quality control in the factory, freshly grilled before packing at the outlets themselves, customers are guaranteed the freshest, and most delectable meaty snacks the brand has to offer. Innovations such as air-tight seal UV metallic foil packaging introduced in 2011 for the convenience of their customers, and retail product freshness.
To reach a greater audience, there are plans to add more retail outlets and e-commerce. Bringing convenience to your door step!
