When do you write a bad review and what do you say? The easy answer to the first part of the question is – as soon as you stop reading the book, be that at page 1 or page 500. Is that fair? Probably not. So, how can you make a review, after only reading one page, as fair as one written after reading the entire book? First of all, you are writing the review to advise the author of your opinion and to offer an insight to the people who are considering buying it, so be honest! You need to tell your audience that your opinion is based on having read only one page, or is based on the twenty hours it took you to get to the end of the book. Being driven to stop reading the book at the end of the first page speaks volumes.
