Triumph have brought in ride-by-wire throttle control that gives better response. It also ties in with the rider modes.

Adjusting the throtlle response, ABS and traction control you effectively have five different rider modes on the RS, other models have fewer mode options and also lack the 'track' mode available on the RS.

Showing you what's going on withe the bike is a TFT screen displaying the data from the onboard computer.

The RS display has a speedometer, rev counter, riding mode icon, odometer, fuel gauge, trip and journey meter. It also comes an average fuel consumption and instantaneous fuel consumption display.

Not stopping there the TFT screen also shows a gear indicator and range to empty of the fuel tank.

Navigating the rider modes, controlling the ABS and traction control is all done via a joystick on the handlebars.

The RS also has a quickshifter (up only) and LED Daylight Running Lights (DLR) that Triumph claim are 28 times brighter than previous models and make the bike much easier to see on the road - as well as giving the bike a more aggressive look.

The 765 has been voted MCN's Machine of the Year, MCN's Best Naked Bike, and Auto Trader's Bike of the Year and we would tend to agree!
