So what makes an ear plug ‘intelligent’?

“Precision noise filtration. Hear what you want, not what you don’t.” That’s the Auritech description. That basically means that the ear plugs will filter out the unwanted noise but with the use of a patented ceramic filter they still allow you to hear conversation and continue to use in-helmet intercoms without it being muffled.

All the real magic is contained inside the body with different models available for a variety of sports and other needs.

The NN20 ceramic sound filter is tuned to filter and reduce damaging high-frequency wind, road and engine noise but lets you continue conversations without having to remove the ear plugs.

This works very well both face-to-face and using helmet-to-helmet intercoms.

You can also clearly hear lower-frequency sounds such as horns, Sat Nav, and engine and exhaust note (and we all like to listen to that!).

Being reusable and like all things related to bikes there’s little maintenance needed to maintain these ear plugs but that is simply washing and keeping them clean using warm soapy water or a mild alcohol solution.

Most riders wear protective clothing even if it is only the minimum and it’s time to make sure you extend that to protect your hearing.

At £19.95 for a set of Auritech BIKER Hearing Protectors are well worth the investment and come with an aluminium container to keep them in that attaches to your keys.

Auritech BIKER Hearing Protectors are available from many motorcycles dealers or you can purchase them online (click here)..
