RnineT Scrambler revisited

Exactly one year ago we were treated to a test of BMW's Scrambler in Dubai and we feel it is time to revisit the bike as one of our favourites through 2017.

We have to admit to being big fans of BMW's RnineT range from the beginning and whilst the range has expanded with the Racer, Urban and Pure variants the Scrambler still holds a place in our heart above the rest.

As the motorcycle industry began rebuilding past dreams with modernised retro models, largely led by Triumph, BMW were one of those quick off the mark to try to capture part of this emerging market. The original RnineT was well received but the series popularity exploded when they brought put the Scrambler.

Gone are the days of rough and ready scramblers, home build bikes chopped and modified from popular street models. Now we get modern technology but retaining that retro look. BMW's Scrambler doesn't look like it was born in the 60's, unlike the Triumph's that retained that look, but then the quality of the build and ride on the RnineT's is right up there in there in terms of design and quality.

Since first testing the BMW's Scrambler we've also had time with the Racer, Urban and Pure models but the Scrambler still tops the list for us.
