A couple of months ago Biker Down approached us and asked if we would be interested in sending our instructors to one of their training days. We thought it would be a great opportunity for our instructors and maybe some of our advanced riders to go.
I had heard a little about these training days but always struggled to find the time to attend one. When I created the event I was more than a little surprised to see the response.
So many people wanted to attend and the feedback from people that had attended the course before was amazing. So on the day, 23 instructors and advanced riders from Route 66 went along to spend possibly the most important 3 hours that a biker can spend.
We were greeted with a friendly face from Scottish Fire and Rescue and shown into their training room where everyone was made to feel at ease. We all signed in and the itinerary of the day was explained. There were three firefighters that delivered the course and they had such a great rapport not just with each other but with every single biker in the room.
The course was broken down into three different modules that were delivered well and it was made fun and easy to understand.
