When you were growing up, were motorcycles prevalent in your early years, and did you have any racing heroes?

A: Yes definitely. My dad and uncle both raced and since I was old enough to walk motorbikes have been a huge part of my life, Joey Dunlop, and David Jefferies I think where two of my heroes, I was only small but in 1999 they made me want to race more than anything but I think my Dad holds the firm place at the top. He’s taught me more about racing than anyone. Dad won multiple Scottish championships as well as the southern 100 championships on a sidecar, what he doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing!

What are you looking forward to most for the new national class of racing in 2018?

A: I think it’s going to be very competitive, everyone gets a race with someone it also gives you the goal of being a Scottish Champion, something I’ve dreamed of for as long as I can remember.

If your house was burning itself to the ground, what material possession would you run back in and retrieve?

A: That’s tricky, but between my leathers, Newcastle United hat or my box of old TT newspapers.
