The growth of CB500 racing in Scotland in the last few years has spawned a great deal of diversity and talent. Some seasoned and experienced others completely new to the game.

One of the main driving forces in the class

here and the overlord of the CB500

Facebook page here in Scotland is Colvin Denholm. Colvin exudes enthusiasm as well as a predisposition for the colour orange. You would have to be Stevie Wonder to miss him and his machinery in the paddock. Take it away big guy.

Having tasted the CB500 series, what would be your favourite race, venue and why?

Last Saturday race of the year between me Martin Currah, Donald Henry and Peter Robertson … only 7/10s covered us all at chequered flag.

Who in your opinion are the best riders you have been locking horns and elbows with this year, not only on the track but the way they were off track?

See above lol … Martin Currah for our banter in shelter.

When you were growing up, were motorcycles prevalent in your early years, and did you have any racing heroes?

I first had an off-road bike at 14, and early heroes were Lewis Ward who passengered Jock Taylor and Mose Hutchison. Mose although now East Fortune’s resident commentator was also an accomplished international and TT passenger in his day.
