WOOD

Duncan Wood is one of our two newcomers to the Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) joining the team this year. Duncan, from Pittenweem, has been riding since age 6 and is a member of the East Neil Wobblers.

He rides trials regularly and has taken part in the The Bob MacGregor 2 day Trial Killin every year from 2012 until 2018 and also t he Waterside Club Trial championship.

To date his best finish was 1st in the Waterside JMCC 50/50 Novice 2015.

Having been selected for the team at the end of 2018 Duncan set about preparing himself for the trial first getting his motorcycle license and taking part in weekly trials building up his bike-fitness and stamina for the event in May.

With the change of the clocks this month he's also hoping to get more evening out on the bike to keep his skills current.

Last month he also took part in the Ian Pollock Memorial Trial run by the Lochaber & District Motorcycle Club. Commenting on his performace there he tols us "it was a real eye opener. The stages there are difficult and it was a tough day. I wasn't overly happy with my performance but it has given me a lot of work on and I will definitely be back for this trial again in the future."
