Luggage options on the Turismo include two lockable and easily removable 30L panniers. There’s no frame behind them so when you’ve got them off the bike you’re left with the clean lines of the bike unlike the scaffolding that can be found on other bikes.

All in, the Turismo is the perfect package for someone that wants the touring option but still needs that sports bike fix every now and again.

We spent a full day on the bike taking in A and B roads, towns and a number

of farm roads to get the feel

for the bike’s performance in a

range of circumstances. As we said earlier the weather also played its part well giving us everything except snow - just the norm for a day in late May.

What MV Agusta have done here is fill a niche for a multi-purpose bike that won’t look out of place on a long tour or blasting around the roads with a group of sportsbikes. That’s not an easy niche to fill and all too often ends up with a heavy and clumsy bike that doesn’t quite do either thing very well.

The Turismo is light, fast, agile and beautiful. Pretty much everything you expect from an Italian.
