Adamson

Allan Adamson has been around the trials scene in Scotland since the 80's and earlier when he used to visit events with his father who also rode in the Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT).

He's a well known personality in the sport and has limitless enthusiasm and experience that he shares with those around him.

Describing how we got into trials riding he said 'I would to go the Six Days with my father and see the guys all tinkering with their bikes before the start, in those days that was in Edinburgh. It was great to see them all working on the bikes and I caught the bug for trials from them.'

Allan has been riding trials since then and is also one of the founders of the East Neuk Wobblers trials club.

2019 will be his 11th entry in the SSDT out of which he finished 9 and withdrew form the other two with technical problems.

His best finish was a 40th place around 1989 on Yamaha TY250 but he said himself that this was not his best ride overall.

Last year and in 2016 he achieved a 1st class award for finishing in the top 131 riders overall.

Away from the SSDT Allan has won numerous local club and Scottish championships over the years and is a regular at trials events and fun days coaching younger riders around the sections.

Going into the SSDT he is going to be taking the lead coaching one of our rookie riders around the course
