steering stops and the leather fasteners with brass closures used instead of the dreaded plastic cable ties.

The most striking elements of the bike are the paintwork and upholstery. The original idea was to have some airbrushed designs on the tank depicting my father’s past but when the tank came back from JW Auto Body, East Fortune and sat on the bike it was obvious that this would have cheapened the look.

The metallic British racing green on the 1981 Suzuki GS850 Tank really set the tone against the leather and Harris Tweed seat and side bags designed by JM Customs and made by Viking Motorcycle Seats, the tweed linking the Hebridean ties. The titanium wrap for the pipes suits the style so well it looks like it came along with the upholstery! Final touches on the tanks were done by Aaron De la Haye airbrushing the name of the bike as an antique style sign and he also gave the fuel cap an aged brass look.
